Majorca by car - essential places

Explore the authentic Majorca by car from a completely different perspective. In addition to beautiful beaches, the largest Balearic island offers breathtaking destinations to visit. Enjoy nature, culture and traditional villages.

From Andratx to Soller

This 53 km long coastal road is one of the most beautiful in Majorca.

From Andratx, take the MA10 northbound. The winding tour takes you via Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Deía and then to Soller.

A few kilometres of the picturesque village Banyalbufar, stands Majorca's oldest lookout tower, Torre del Verger, offering an unforgettable view.

Another compulsory stop is Valldemossa! This unique place is characterized by sandstone facades and unique buildings.

It continues in the direction of Sóller. You should make a further stop before you reach the artist village Deía. The mansion "Son Marroig" as well as its vantage point "Sa Foradada" should not be missed.

Once in the authentic town of Sóller, you should visit the vibrant „Plaza Constitución“ with the church of Sant Bartomeu.

From Soller to Cap de Formentor

This route is known for winding roads, spectacular views and steep climbs.

The tour from Soller leads through the picture-book village "Fornalux". This mountain village in the Tramuntana mountains has been awarded several times as Spain's most beautiful village. When the countless organ trees blossom in May, the village is particularly inviting.

Further along this route you will pass Majorcas reservoirs and the famous monastery of Lluc. Via Port de Pollenca on the MA-2210 you reach the northernmost point of Mallorca. Make a stop at the "Mirador dés Colomer". The view is unforgettable.

At the end of the route stands the lighthouse 210 m above sea level. This place is also called "meeting point of the winds". The impressive view to the open sea is the most photographed place in Majorca.
