Hiking in Mallorca

A highlight for hikers is undoubtedly the north and west of the Balearic Islands. Whether mountain professionals or beginners, Mallorca offers great hiking trails for every requirement.

A day hike that we recommend is from Port de Sóller to the Cúber reservoir. Sóller is an ideal starting point for many exciting hikes. The total route is 16.2 km and leads from the sea through the orange-growing regions, olive plantations and the mountain village of Biniaraix to the plateau at the Cúber reservoir. The artificial water basin is situated at an altitude of 750 m in a beautiful mountain landscape. The reservoir serves as a drinking water supply for the city of Palma.

Cycling in Mallorca

The cycle path network extends over a total of 1,250 kilometres and is divided into easy, medium to difficult cycle tours. Feria de la Sobrasada

Mallorcan products are already known far beyond the borders. Especially the sausage speciality sobrassada (paprika sausage) has become an integral part of Mallorcan gastronomy. This delicacy consists of raw pork, red paprika powder, cayenne pepper and salt. The sweet paprika powder is responsible for the characteristic red colour. At this fair in Campos you can taste the different types of paprika sausage. A culinary treat, that you should not miss.

Dijous Bo in Inca

All eyes turn to Inca when once a year Mallorca's biggest autumn market "Dijous Bo" (the good Thursday) takes place. This market has a long tradition in Mallorca and is a mixture of agricultural fair, rural market and fairground. Mallorcan products and handicrafts are of course in the centre of attention.
